Marginum HIVEN® wins Red Dot Product Design Award

Tampere, Finland, 13 April 2026—Marginum Ltd, a Finnish medical technology company specialising in fluorescence-based tissue monitoring systems, announces that Marginum HIVEN® has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026.

The Red Dot Design Award is an internationally recognised mark of design quality, awarded to products demonstrating innovation, functionality, and clarity of use. HIVEN® was recognised for its user-centred design in a high-demand clinical environment. The device has been developed to reduce complexity in the operating room through intuitive interaction, clear feedback, and seamless integration into existing workflows.

Selected from a strong international field of entries, HIVEN® was recognised by the Red Dot jury for its outstanding design and quality.

In contrast to traditionally complex medical interfaces, HIVEN® emphasises simplicity and clarity. Its design prioritises ease of use, allowing surgical teams to operate the system with minimal distraction and without interrupting procedural flow. The system supports fluorescence-guided tumour surgery by enabling real-time detection of tissue fluorescence and providing auditory feedback during the operation.
