Marginum signs U.S. Distribution Agreement with ABS Med

Tampere, Finland, 11 August 2026—Marginum Ltd, a Finnish medical technology company specialising in fluorescence-based tissue monitoring systems, has signed a distribution agreement with ABS Med Inc., a leading Midwest distributor of surgical products in the United States. Under the agreement, ABS Med will support the planned commercialisation and distribution of Marginum’s HIVEN® device across nine U.S. states, subject to FDA authorisation.

The distribution agreement covers nine Midwestern states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

HIVEN® is intended for tissue fluorescence detection in fluorescence-guided surgical procedures for suspected high-grade gliomas in which 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) is used. The device detects fluorescence from tissues flowing within a transparent ultrasonic aspirator tube and provides real-time auditory feedback to support intraoperative decision-making. By integrating seamlessly into existing surgical workflows, HIVEN® aims to assist neurosurgeons in identifying fluorescent tissue during tumour resection.

Preparing for market entry in the U.S
