Marginum Ltd from Kuopio was the winner of the Tahko Ski Lift Pitch start-up competition which was held for the fifth time.
The company’s technology increases the efficiency of cancer surgery with fluorescence-based monitoring techniques. The research-driven invention emerged from the need to develop more effective tissue recognition techniques for surgical treatment of tumours.
Twenty startups advanced to the semi-finals held in Nilsiä’s Tahko. The winner redeemed 10 000 € in prize money in addition to being featured on the Nasdaq tower in Times Square New York City.
The event, which has been held at Tahko since 2017, brings together investors, experts, collaborators and start-ups of different stages.
